Inauguration of the Workshop, School of Mechanical Sciences<\/h4>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The inaugural ceremony of the Workshop, School of Mechanical Sciences was held on 15th November 2016. The inauguration of the building commenced with the lightning of the lamp by the Hon’ble Director Prof. R. V. Rajakumar, IIT Bhubaneswar. Dr. S. N. Panigrahi, Head, School of Mechanical Sciences, formally welcomed all who graced the occasion which included the various Deans, Heads of School, Faculty members, Staff and Students of the various Schools. The Hon’ble Director and senior faculty members of the School symbolically operated some of the machines. On the occasion he addressed the gathering where he advised that the Workshop should not only include conventional equipment but also state-of-the-art manufacturing equipment capable of advanced manufacturing. He also shared the difficulties the Institute faced in ensuring high quality and timely delivery of the Workshop building. He also took stock of the various Manufacturing science laboratories apart from the workshop. The workshop is well equipped with all the essential machine tools such as universal milling machine, lathe machines, surface grinder, bend saw, drilling machines, bench grinder, welding machine, and foundry among others.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
