The talk was structured around three subtopics; namely evolution of the today&#8217;s bicycle, it&#8217;s impact on the modern society and cycle&#8217;s contribution to the development of modern machines and transport vehicles. The talk was very much appreciated by the students and faculty members.<\/p><div>\u00a0<\/div><table cellspacing=\"0\" cellpadding=\"0\"><tbody><tr><td><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.iitbbs.ac.in\/images\/mech2.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/td><td><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.iitbbs.ac.in\/images\/mech3.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><p>Professor Ghosh also delivered a seminar on the topic \u201cThe Birth of Mechanical Engineering and the Future Trends\u201d on 23rd October 2019 from 5 PM to 6.30 PM. This talk presented the basic characteristics of a field of activity that can be considered to be \u201cMechanical Engineering\u201d. Professor Ghosh also discussed the development of the curricula and the expected nature of Mechanical Engineering and its extreme dependence on the advanced science subjects including life science in the not too distant future.
